we have desk chairs at home that are made out of pinewood, pine seems to be a good wood for desk chairs~~.

That would be a hard call between the laptop and the new reading chair. Wishing you double the amount so you might do both!

I want a new laptop, too! My desktop computer hasn't worked correctly for many years, and my laptop is pretty tired (in the four years I've had it, I've abused it to the point where it's begging for mercy). I actually am getting a very nice refund, so that new laptop certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility. My answer is up here.

I know what you mean about not knowing what to do with a windfall. That indecision saved me this winter, though, when I needed $1200 of work done to my car and still had the unspent tax refund and stimulus check. Here’s my response. I agree on the laptop! All I have is a comunicator tho I never really thought I need laptop till I read your answer hehehe
